Totally Biased- General Grudge

So I consider myself the *unofficial* biggest fan of Doug TenNapel's comic books so I was surprised to find out tonight that there is going to be another Earthworm Jim Crowd Fund on  KICKSTARTER  for those who missed out on the first one. I just heard of this.                                                   Personally I am excited  because I keep kicking myself that I didn't back one of the Original Art tiers on IndieGoGO even though my wife had given me her blessing to do so. I plan to correct that wrong FIRST THING MONDAY morning most likely but that isn't what this blog post is really about...                                         What this blog post is about is how I want to stress that this campaign Monday is actually very importa...

It seems like it is all the rage for many famous people like Elon Musk and other intelligent people to talk about, not just the possibility but the probability, that we are living in a simulation. And as a Christian I actually agree with them that we are, kinda. The thing I find strangest about such intellectuals talking about the possibility of what we perceive as reality is a simulation is that they almost always speak about it in a way that suggests the simulation was created by either aliens or a super intelligent group of humans from our future. I have always found it odd that they almost always jump to those conclusions instead of the way more obvious scenario that such a proposed simulation would more likely to be made by a Creator aka God.                                                       I don't want to get into why such people wo...

Well I had a pretty big week receiving books I have supported off of IndieGoGo and Kickstarter. I have read all of them and will either write a review for each on this blog/and or create a video review for them in the vein of my Totally Biased videos. Sadly the videos are probably unlikely this week because as of this morning I am coming down with a cold and it is still up in the air how bad that will be. :) Again, even though as I said I have read all of these books already, I will want to read them a second time at least before I review them. So here are the books that I backed and were fulfilled this week in order of their arrival.                                                   First here was Flying Sparks vol. 3 by  Jon Del Arroz  and was backed via Kickstarter. I had bought the first two volumes off of Amazon  HERE  and  HER...

Doug Tennapel won crowd funding when he finished and released his Earthworm Jim: Launch the Cow book last December. It's all over but the bad guys surrendering.                   This fact should be obvious to any clear-minded, third party, close follower of the movement if they decided to watch as many satisfied customers un-boxing videos on YouTube as I have.                  I have happily watched so many videos of excited and surprised customers doing un-boxing videos on extremely small YouTube channels I have lost count of just how many I've seen. And they all have one thing in common, they are pleasantly surprised at the value they received. Doug fulfilled this campaign, for a popular, iconic character quickly and early and then quietly surprised his fan base by over fulfilling on quality and value. I have literally not seen one unhappy backer. I am a long and hu...

Quick blog update. Decided to make a short video showing my original art collection. I had been talking to someone on Twitter and couldn't remember what I still owned and what I had sold over time.        I decided to make a video and figure out that question in real time. Sadly, I had forgot a lot about some of the story points, and who many of the characters were as I was recording this unrehearsed and got a lot wrong. Thankfully I can remember most of the details now.        If you don't know what original comic book art is I will be happy to tell you. It is simply the actual art, drawn by the creator, that they use to make the comic books you buy. So each piece is actual art work, drawn by the artist and is one of a kind.        It is a great hobby to get into if you have a lot of expendable cash but can get expensive depending on the artist, the characters, the page layout and how much n...

The meaning of life explained: in one blog post.  If you ever wanted to know the meaning of life you have come to the right place.  That is correct, I will tell you the meaning of life in this one quick blog post.  This is not a joke; it is not satire and I am not trying to sell you anything. Campy TV shows through modern entertainment, and pseudo philosophers, and sociology professors will prattle on and on about the quest to know the meaning of life in a way which they will hint that there is no meaning or answer. But I assure you that you will not have to watch a crappy infomercial or read a self-help book or even build a super computer and create a priesthood to watch over it for centuries all in order for it to finally claim the meaning of like is 42. The meaning of life is simple and complex at the same time. It is a bit of a paradox but it can be condensed down to one sentence and I will be happy to share it with you here today: The meaning of life is t...
